Over 140 West African stakeholders gathered to assess research capacities, tackle challenges, and strengthen cross-border collaboration for epidemic preparedness
Between October 30 and November 1, 2024, MRC Unit The Gambia at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (MRCG at LSHTM) and the International Vaccine Institute (IVI), with funding from the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), collaborated with the Africa Centres for Disease Control (Africa CDC) and the West Africa Health Organization (WAHO) to organize a dynamic Research Preparedness Ecosystem Engagement Workshop. This event, held in Accra, Ghana, was part of the Advancing Research Capacity in West Africa (ARC-WA) initiative.
